Player Protection — 1wen Cares

Responsible Gaming
at 1wen

Enjoying online casino games, slots, and sports betting should always be fun — never stressful. At 1wen, we take our duty of care seriously and provide every Filipino player with the tools and information needed to stay in control.

Gaming Should Be Fun, Not a Problem

Here at 1wen, we genuinely believe that responsible gaming is the foundation of a great player experience. Whether you're spinning slots, playing bingo, or betting on your favorite sports, the goal is entertainment — and we want to make sure it stays that way for every single player on our platform.

We know that for most Filipinos, online gaming is a fun pastime — something to enjoy after a long day at work in Makati, or during a lazy Sunday in Cebu. But we also know that for a small number of people, gambling can become a problem. That's why 1wen has built a comprehensive set of responsible gaming tools directly into the platform, available to every registered player at no cost.

Our responsible gaming program is aligned with PAGCOR guidelines and reflects our commitment to operating a safe, fair, and transparent gaming environment for all Filipino players. We encourage you to read this page carefully and make use of the tools available to you.

21+

Age Restriction: 21 and Above

Under Philippine law, participation in casino-style gambling is restricted to individuals aged 21 years and above. 1wen strictly enforces this requirement through mandatory age verification during registration and KYC checks.

Any account found to belong to a person under 21 will be immediately suspended, all winnings forfeited, and deposits returned at 1wen's sole discretion. If you suspect a minor is using the platform, please report it to us immediately.

1wen may request government-issued ID (PhilSys ID, passport, or driver's license) to verify your age at any time.

Your Responsible Gaming Tools

All of these tools are available free of charge to every registered 1wen player. Access them anytime from your account dashboard or by contacting our support team.

Deposit Limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much you can deposit into your 1wen account. Once your limit is reached, no further deposits will be accepted until the period resets. Limits can be lowered immediately but increases take 7 days to take effect.

Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you can lose within a defined period — daily, weekly, or monthly. This tool helps you stay within a budget you're comfortable with and prevents chasing losses, which is one of the most common signs of problem gambling.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum session duration. When your time is up, you'll receive an alert and be automatically logged out. This is especially useful for players who lose track of time during live casino sessions or extended slot play.

Cooling-Off Periods

Need a short break? Activate a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 48 hours, 1 week, or up to 6 weeks. During this time, your account will be temporarily suspended and you won't be able to log in or place bets on 1wen.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel you need a longer break or want to stop gambling altogether, you can self-exclude from 1wen for a period of 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, or permanently. Self-exclusion requests are processed within 24 hours and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.

Reality Checks

Enable periodic on-screen reminders that show you how long you've been playing and how much you've wagered during the current session. These pop-up alerts help you stay aware of your activity and make informed decisions about continuing to play.

To activate any of these tools, log in to your account and go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming, or contact our support team at [email protected].

Is Your Gaming Under Control?

Most people who gamble do so responsibly and within their means. But it's worth checking in with yourself from time to time. If you answer "yes" to several of the questions below, it may be a sign that gambling is becoming a problem for you.

Do you spend more money on gambling than you originally planned?
Do you gamble to escape stress, boredom, or personal problems?
Have you tried to cut back on gambling but found it difficult?
Do you lie to family or friends about how much you gamble?
Have you borrowed money or sold belongings to fund gambling?
Do you feel restless or irritable when you try to stop gambling?
Has gambling caused problems in your relationships, work, or finances?
Do you chase losses — betting more to try to win back money you've lost?

If you answered yes to three or more of these questions, we strongly encourage you to use 1wen's self-exclusion tool or reach out to a professional support service.

Healthy Gaming Habits

Set a Budget Before You Play

Decide in advance how much PHP you're comfortable spending — and treat it like an entertainment expense, not an investment. Never gamble with money meant for rent, bills, or your family's needs.

Take Regular Breaks

Step away from the screen regularly. Set a timer, grab a snack, or take a walk. Long uninterrupted sessions can cloud your judgment and lead to impulsive decisions.

Play for Fun, Not Profit

Think of 1wen as entertainment — like going to the movies or watching a PBA game. Winnings are a bonus, not a guaranteed income. The house always has an edge in the long run.

Never Chase Losses

If you've hit your loss limit for the day, stop. Chasing losses by betting more is one of the fastest ways gambling can become a serious problem. Accept the loss and come back another day.

Talk to Someone You Trust

If gambling is affecting your relationships or mental health, talk to a trusted friend, family member, or professional counselor. You don't have to deal with it alone.

Need Help or Support?

You are never alone. If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, these resources are available to help — free of charge and confidential.
